Emmaus Winchester is a charity that provides a home, meaningful work experience and professional support for people helping them to secure their entry back into society. At the moment, Emmaus Winchester provides shelter for 28 people. Emmaus wants to expand capacity by three additional flats for which £ 60,000 are needed. Donations currently stand at around £ 30,000 and more is needed to start construction. Emmaus started in France 1949 and is now active in 37 countries and 350 centres.
